Cryptozoic Entertainment is excited to announce that the first European Continental Championships for the World of Warcraft TCG will be held on June 12-13, 2010 at the Espace Charenton in Paris, France. The European Continental Championships is open to all players, who will be competing for their share of over 40,000€ in prizes!

Schedule

Saturday, June 12: Registration opens at 8:00am. Player meeting at 9:30am. Core Constructed; top 96 players will move on to Saturday
Sunday, June 13: Scourgewar/Wrathgate booster draft begins at 8:00am; top 8 Core Constructed finals will begin at approximately 5:00pm

FAQs:

Q: Are there any restrictions for residency or citizenship?A: Players may play in either Continental Championships regardless of where they live. However, players may only participate in one Continental Championship event in 2010.

Q: Is there a room block for players?
A: There is not a negotiated rate at this time. There are a number of nearby hotels that can be found at www.espacecharenton.com.

Q: Will there be a special event like the "Meet & Greet" at the North American Continental Championships in Las Vegas?
A: We are looking at options to host events on Friday. More details will be announced shortly.

I'm in Paris at the end of the month for a conference. Woulda been brilliant to combine the two. Never mind.

Right, is anyone driving there?

hmmm interesting i have flights and hotel booking from 14-17th for a holiday with the gf, time to get on my knees....

I can't afford to go, but I'm willing to pick them up and drive them there, if I somehow don't have to pay for accomodation, can borrow a deck, and only have to pay a fraction of the petrol.

I'm trying to remember how much the petrol cost for me and Jack to make the trip from Wales - Paris. It was less than the cost of 4 people paying to get to an airport, pay for flights, and then pay to get to the hotel.

I know five of us driving Basingstoke to Antwerp paid less than £150 each including three nights in hotels and including the ferry. I can't remember how close it was to £100.

I can provide a deck for you. Paris has a range of accommodation so depending on the group size we might get something reasonable. Considering the cost of the restaurants, it might be an idea to take a big bag of Tesco's Shitest Food, some pots, and I can cook if we get somewhere with a kitchen.

I'm down for this.

I'm very, very poor, but can make up for it by driving for 16 hours without falling asleep.
