Post Blizzard Announce WoW TCG Future
Blizzard have announced that the WoW TCG will continue in it's current form, in both the USA and throughout Europe.

The TCG will now be "produced" by a new company called "Cryptozoic Entertainment", which appears to be comprised of Blizzard staff members, who have previously worked with the TCG, along with Upper Deck.

Although no concrete details have been announced, the company has set up a temporary website here, where they express their intent to :

* Print Wrathgate boosters and Class Starter Decks
* Establish their own internal Organised Play departments
* Rebuild Organised Play in "Europe"
* Hold a Continental Championship in Europe
* Establish a "volunteer system" for Judges
* Produce a new, dedicated Website for the game

We have no word on how these plans will affect the judges and organised play professionals, who have worked on this game for the past 4 years, or how it will relate to Tomy, who were obviously preparing to handle Organised Play in the UK, and held last weekend's big tournament, after Upper Deck pulled out all support.

If you have any strong feelings on this matter, or any other Organised Play matters, you can contact Cryptozoic by emailing <player@cryptozoic.com>

Guessing it's "External" 1. for tax purposes, and 2. In case they kill the game stone dead.

Blizzard own lots of little studios working on products like this. You've got guys like Corey Jones there, but also ex-UDE staffers Drago and Girard who will (theoretically) no longer be held back by UDE corporate bullshit. That they're already communicating about the ECC and where they can/can't hold it is amazing.

Very true, I like this idea of being able to tell us what the hell is going on, almost feels like people care again ;)
