Re: Servants of the Betrayer Sneak Preview Card
Quote: 403.2 A token is an object that represents an ally put into play by a modifier. A token has ATK, health, and tags as specified by that modifier. If a token has a name and/or powers, they are also specified by that modifier. If no name is specified, a token’s tag is its name. If no damage type is specified, a token’s damage type is melee. A token’s cost is always 0. As Warlord does not explicitly state "Named Naga Distiller" those are types. Thus, you can play two Wintervolts to turn your party into Naga Distillers. "At the start of your turn, destroy a Naga Distiller in your party." This triggers ONCE at the start of your turn. I take this to mean an ally with the Types Naga Distiller (as "destroy an ally named Naga Distiller" would make more gramatical sense for the other meaning). Precident sits with the Unlimited Allys that, when counting how many others there are say "for each ally named". Thus, if you play two Wintervolts, you can pop any ally to your Warlord. Wasn't a 5/7 that forced an opponent to kill something irrelevant good enough!?

Re: Servants of the Betrayer Sneak Preview Card
I just started typing up a reply that was rephrasing some of what I put forward in a slightly clearer way when I realised the point of confusion we are having. Unless I am wrong a discussion hasn't been made regarding Wondervolting things to have additional subtypes which are not already ally types, and therefore when a card says 'all Dwarves' we (or perhaps just myself) are unsure about whether it is talking about ally type or subtype (or either). One of which you can alter with Wondervolt and one of which you can't, would this be the correct summary of the 'problem'? It would be good to get that decided before we start slinging theories about.
I agree with the 'In your Party' stopping you from grabbing opposing Distllers, but I wonder if it only was attended to mean tokens created by your own Kali why the phrase 'created in this way' or 'remove this token' was not used, similar to how 'Boat To Booty Bay' or 'Illusinary Rod' is phrased.
Ongoing: (Exhaust) Remove an ally in your party from the game. Use only on your turn. (Exhaust) Destroy Boat to Booty Bay Put all ally cards removed by Boat to Booty Bay into play under your control. Use only on your turn.
1, (Exhaust) Exhaust your hero Remove your hand from the game. At end of turn, put the removed cards into your hand.
(Sorry, couldn't find an ally with similar text and had to use an ability and equipment, so consider this a point relating to 'Nomenclature style in WoW TCG' rather than a strict counter example)
Edit: A couple of posts came up while I was writing this so some of the information may have been repeated by someone else, for which I apologise. One question though, why two Wondervolts, surely you can specify 'Naga Distiller' in the same way you can specify 'Night Elf' I must admit to not fighting this guy in the online game and imagined the token to be an item which distills Nagas, rather than a Naga type with a sub class. (Followed by multiple further edits for layout and typos)

Each ally word is a type, you need two Wondervolts to make a Naga Distiller. Straight from the mouthes of Aragorn and Paul Ross.

Re: Servants of the Betrayer Sneak Preview Card
Fair enough, more a reading comprehension issue on my part for that sub point then, I am gleefully corrected. I take it that the idea of altering the types of your allies using wondervolt does does work in principle though.
In addition there may even be some new allies that already have the 'Naga' (possible) or 'Distiller' (less likely) types / subtypes taking you back down to needing one wondervolt.
Edit: Hang on, was under the impression that you had 'just' spoken to those guys and such would have discussed the entire situation, on further thinking that may not be the case. If so I guess we still need confirmation.

Re: Servants of the Betrayer Sneak Preview Card
None of you guys really play the MMO do you?! This is the End Boss from the Steam Vault instance in Underbog: I've been in many a party when not destroying the tank in time is a wipe as he goes uber on the tank.... I just like the way it's been faithfully reproduced in TCG form. Ok, I'll now let you hardcore players go back to breaking this card. Ray (who just had a tiny bit inside him die reading this thread....)

Damn right I dont play online anymore. I couldn't have kept up 8 hours a day doing that AND being gainfully employed at the same time! The TCG is my slightly less addictive window back into that world of my Uni days.

Sorry i hate the online game and have no care for any referances to it. I just like the play style of the TCG.

Re: Servants of the Betrayer Sneak Preview Card
Hell, the only video games I've played since 6th form are Lego Star Wars (1 and 2), Guitair Hero (1,2,3), and Final Fantasy (8 and 11) and all of those have been sporadically with a mate.

Re: Servants of the Betrayer Sneak Preview Card
I've been to steam vaults once, and the tank left nearly straight away which sucked, but the other 4 people i was with were nice enough to stick with me to get my kara key frag.
We didn't get to this boss i don't think but we killed the engineer guy :-p evil little gnomes.
Think there may have to be an errata to this card to establish that Naga and Distiller are two different types.
Am slightly worried about servants now. 1) evil cards, 2) Lots more rullings to learn :-(
